Classic Cover may collect, retain and update personal information about you that you provide both:
- directly, for example, by you sending us an email enquiring about information on Classic Cover; and
- indirectly through your use of this site and the services and functionality offered through it.
Classic Cover may use this information for purposes connected with providing, monitoring and marketing existing and future products and services to you, as well as keeping you informed of developments or opportunities in areas or activities you have previously been interested in or we believe you may be interested in.
Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency (NZTA) operates the New Zealand Motor Vehicle Register, which records and holds information about vehicles registered in New Zealand and the persons these vehicles are registered to (MVR Information).
Under section 241 of the Land Transport Act 1998 (LTA) and Gazette Notice 2022-au4072 of 28 September 2022, Classic Cover Insurance may access the MVR Information for the purposes of assessing or processing an insurance policy or claim in relation to a vehicle.
You can instruct NZTA that you do not wish your name and address made available through the Motor Vehicle Register under section 241 of the LTA (opt-out). However, Classic Cover also has authorised access under section 237 of the LTA to the opt-out information for the purposes specified. Classic Cover agents with access to MVR Information may also access it for Classic Cover purposes.

Classic Cover may provide overall statistics about users, site use, demand for relevant products, services, facilities and information, traffic patterns, and related site information to reputable third parties. These statistics will not include any information that personally identifies you.
You are entitled to request the correction of any personal information Classic Cover holds about you at any time. You can request to be removed from any Classic Cover mailing list or similar Classic Cover service by emailing admin@classiccover.co.nz. Your rights of removal may be subject to any additional terms that apply to the relevant list or service.
